What a wonderful world it is for the children at Sproatley Primary School who are learning all about the lives of bees.
Their education is enhanced on so many levels by sharing in a campaign which highlights the plight of the bumblebee.
On a separate but related activity the inmates at Hull Prison are engaged in making bee houses.
This adds to their education and equally rehabilitation.
Then in a spirit which spreads the natural goodness of all those concerned while teaching the community a lesson that can only be gained outside the classroom, the inmates make the houses for the children and their charges: ‘It was a lovely idea to ask the prisoners to produce the bee houses… There’s plenty of room inside for when our bees do arrive.’ [ A Teaching Assistant: The Times: 16/9/17]
